Abstract
The article considers record keeping practice in provincial administration of the Olonets province in the Russian Empire in the first half of the XIX century. The materials of senatorial audits can serve as a source for the study of the condition of records management, what gives an indication of the specificity and the degree of implementation of legislation at the local level and also makes it possible to reconstruct the daily practice of officials work with documents.

The article is devoted to the development of types of identification documents, their varieties, the establishment of their forms, creation and development of passport documents from “proezgie” and “prochozgie” letters, personal tickets and passport books of the late XIX - early XX centuries. Identification documents are investigated according to the social class of persons (civil status).

The article is devoted to the history of the creation and functioning of the anti-bolshevick government‘s military control organs in the Northern Russia in the period of the Civil War and to the recordings of it’s work. Abstract
The article presents an attempted selection of the concept of “document”. By the method of content analysis 120 definitions of the term “document” identified in the legislation, standards, reference and scientific literature were investigated. Content analysis was carried out taking into account different approaches to the definition of “document”: legal, informational, historical, communication, managerial, and societal. The article determines the frequency usage for words and word combinations denoting other, more general, notions, through which the concept “document” can by specified. It also establishes frequencies of mention in document definition of its essential features, properties and functions. The interpretation of results of the content analysis allow to draw conclusions about the conventional understanding of the document. Based on the results of the content analysis author’s definition of “document” is formulated.

Abstract
A comparison of training system of document control specialists and archivists in the Russian Federation and Ukraine, as well as analysis of the characteristics, strengths and weaknesses in the proposed training programs are offered in the article. At the moment, at the market of educational services in Ukraine, training in this area is carried out in more than 20 higher schools, and in the Russian Federation - in more than 120. The matter is not only in a lack of employers’ who understand the role of documentation and information control in decision-making in the management, but in connection with the new requirements to the specialists training, providing for an integrated approach, and in the well-balanced programming. This combination can be realized not in all universities.

Abstract
The article deals with the history of the Public Record Office of Great Britain from its foundation in 1838 till 1958 when the Public Records Act was passed. The paper analyses the reasons of the formation of the Public Record Office and the main directions of its activity during the indicated period: acquisition, preservation, finding aids creation, document usage, and also issues of the access to archival documents. The article describes the contribution of parliamentary committees that have been appointed to put forward the proposals for carrying out archival reforms. It is noted that decentralization of archives administration resulted in the Public Records Act which turned out to be the milestone in the regulation of the system of archival institutions of Great Britain.

This article analyzes the subject of books and periodicals issued by museums, libraries and archival institutions of the Russian Far East at the turn of the twenty-first century for the first time it provides an overview of the publishing activities of the largest publishing companies of the Far Eastern Khabarovsk and Primorye territories, Magadan and Amur regions of the Far East identifies the main themes of the printed products of these institutions at the current stage.

Abstract
The method of classification of occupations is a relatively new in the Russian historical, despite that it is actively used and developed in foreign historiography in demographic studies and within the areas of Social Science History. The purpose of this article is to review considers in occupational classifications applied in historical research and problems of their using. The paper considers Historical International Standard Coding of Occupations (HISCO), its use for research of social structures of society, as well as the sources and implementation characteristics of the Russian HISCO project. Special attention is paid to the economic classification of occupations of the population (PSTI) and the prospects for its using for the analysis of local historical data.

Abstract
The present article analyzes linguistic and pedagogical foundations for the Concept of foreign language teaching in the light of composing the Three Plus generation bachelor programs. The authors consider didactical approaches and methodological principles, which constitute the basis for the contemporary educational programs; give the foundation for the purpose and tasks of foreign language teaching; present their own concept of continuous foreign language teaching on the basic level, profile-oriented level, and in the master program.
