The materials of senatorial audits of the records of the provincial administration of the Russian Empire (in the middle of the XIX century)
Abstract
The article considers record keeping practice in provincial administration of the Olonets province in the Russian Empire in the first half of the XIX century. The materials of senatorial audits can serve as a source for the study of the condition of records management, what gives an indication of the specificity and the degree of implementation of legislation at the local level and also makes it possible to reconstruct the daily practice of officials work with documents.
