V.N. Avtocratov’s archival theory:analysis of the main provisions and approaches
Abstract
The article analyses basic provisions of the general and special theories of archival science, developed by V.N. Avtokratov, shows their strong points and restrictions, reveals system of theoretical views of the outstanding Soviet archivist scholar, discovers the main and supporting concepts and categories, concludes the need for further theoretical researches in the field of archival science from the standpoint of the system and information approaches.
